He's tall, dark and handsome - she's petite, sweet and gorgeous.

Meet the winners of our fantastic WoS Idols competition, Will Adams and Rachel Rice.

It was a close battle between our finalists with thousands of votes cast but the gap between our two faces of Wales is a whole lot bigger, a foot to be exact!

Strapping Cardiff boy Will is a huge 6ft 3ins while Rachel, from Cwmbran, is just 5ft 3in in her socks.

The pair each win a luxury holiday for two in Ibiza, a professional photoshoot with award-winning snapper Glenn Edwards, a fashion spread in WoS and VIP passes to Escape into the Park 2004. The prizes are thanks to Swansea Escape, the people behind Wales' biggest outdoor dance festival on August 14.

Will is taking girlfriend and WoS Idol entrant Rebecca Middleton on holiday after they were reunited following a split, which saw her liked with champ boxer Joe Calzaghe. And Rachel is taking her mum.

This week was a tense wait for both Rachel, 20 and Will, 28, as they were just lagging behind Lexy Johnson and Craig Jones.

But this week they stepped up their campaigns rallying the crucial winning votes to declare them WoS Idols 2004.

Radiography student Will said: "Rebecca and I are back together now and we're busting to go away on holiday. She doesn't mind that I won and she didn't because she gets the holiday anyway! I hope she would have taken me if she had won!

"I haven't been away for ages so can't wait - Escape is going to be great too.

"I've never modelled before but wouldn't say no to the opportunity to do it."

Rachel said: "I was really surprised to win especially after last week, but it feels great. I hope I'll make a great WoS Idol because I've got a great personality. I do a lot of work in the community already so hopefully I'll be able to use this title to promote even more charities.

"I study English literature and drama, and love modelling, but I want to be a reporter or MTV presenter. And because I don't shut up I think I would be good!"

Tickets for Escape Into The Park 2004 are £32.50 plus booking fee. For tickets and info, call 01792 470000.
