Competition Rules

All matches in all competitions must be played by the deadline date stipulated as the closing date for each round.

It is the responsibility of both (all) competitors to ensure that matches are played by the stipulated deadline date.

The outcome of any match not played by the stipulated deadline date will be decided by the Competition Secretary, either by way of a fair judgement call or through the toss of a coin .( the coin toss will be conducted by the competition secretary in the presence of at least two other club members). The decision of the Competition Secretary on competitor progression is final and absolute.

If either or both competitors foresee an issue with playing a match by the deadline date, or they are experiencing issues with contacting / arranging with their opponent(s). They must flag this issue to the competition secretary at least 5 full days prior to the deadline date.

Matches will only be permitted to be played after the deadline date due to ‘exceptional’ circumstances such as long term illness, family bereavement, freak weather conditions (which affects the availability of the green over a prolonged period of time) or for any other reason deemed ‘exceptional’ by the competition secretary.

If a match has been sanctioned by the competition secretary to take place after the deadline date ( due to an exceptional circumstance ). This match MUST be played within 2 weeks of the original deadline date.

Internal competition matches must be booked on the rink booking sheet and will take priority over all friendly matches, with the exception of a Monday Club night. When 3 rinks will be reserved for the exclusive use of club members for practice and social games.

Every effort must be made to arrange a marker for each match. Although if no marker is available a match may take place without one as long as both players are in agreement. Cards from each match must be posted in the appropriate box following the conclusion of the match.

Rules for individual competitions will be posted alongside the relevant competition and will also be available on request.

ALL Competitors must make every effort to ensure they are available for Finals day on Saturday 30th August 2025.

After each game please can the winner be put through on the relevant competition sheet. And inform Competition Secretary.
