Torfaen Children and Young People's Plan

What is the Torfaen Children and Young People's Plan?

The Welsh Assembly Government wants the Torfaen Children and Young People's Partnership (TCYPP) to produce a plan.

This plan is called the Torfaen Children and Young People's Plan 2008-11|. It will be used for the next 3 years to make sure they are making the lives of children and young people living in Torfaen better. The TCYPP is made up of professionals from different organisations who have put together the plan.

How have they written the Plan?

  1. They have looked at what services there are for children and young people
  2. They have found out lots of statistics about children and young people
  3. Over the last 3 years they have asked children and young people what they think
  4. They have put all this into one document and called it the 'Children and Young People's Plan 2008-11'
  5. They have set 7 priorities that they want to achieve for children and young people over the next 3 years.

What will happen next?

The plan has now been written and approved and a young person friendly version produced. Look out for a copy in your school, youth club, leisure centre and community centres or click on this link to see a copy Young People's Version of Plan|
