Below is feedback from the Youth Access Group at Ashley House in Cwmbran:
What would you change in Torfaen?
1. Internet café with pool tables and young people’s stuff / turn old Fairwater Clinic into youth club or shelter open 3pm – 11pm
2. Adults stereotyping
3. Pontnewynydd Community Centre should be for the WHOLE Community, including young people
4. Cheaper taxis
5. Hydroslides in Fairwater leisure centre / Young people’s shelters
6. More buses – Sundays and Bank Holidays
7. Parks – should be bigger and nearer to home

What needs to change?
• The old Fairwater clinic should be a youth centre / chill grill
• Ping pong tables (x6)
• Pool tables (x4)
• Café
• Free
• PC’s with internet and gaming (x45)
• Food / snacks (loads)
• TV – widescreen (x7) skyplus x4/5
• Sofa (x5)
How?
• Money – donations, fundraising, charity run, sponsors, bootsales, decorate the clinic for money.
Who should be responsible?
• Council
• Governors
• Government
• Councillors
• Volunteers

• Build an internet café
• Free and no website bans
• Sofa / chill out area
• Pool tables
• TV x7
• Food and drinks
• Help with PCs if needed
• Sky plus
• Advice room for help
• Advice leaflets for information
• Log straight onto MSN
How?
• Money – fundraising, charity run, sponsors, bootsales
• We could decorate it
• Ask for voluntary help from other people
• We would do anything
Who should do this?
• We could with help from the council
• Parents, children, teachers, police, council and everyone else who wants to help.
