Below is the feedback from young people involved in the workshop at Hollybush Ante-Natal Group:
What would you change in Torfaen?
Stop spending money on facilities that are not essential to the community and concentrate on things that need doing.
1. Cheaper Healthy food / easier access for wheelchairs and prams
2. Cheaper childcare for young mums to be able to go to work or carry on education
3. More youth clubs for young people after school and evenings
4. Free bus pass when pregnant and for the first year after having a child / more pedestrian crossings
5. More undercover seating in town / fix bus stops so you don’t have to wait in the rain
6. Facilities for young mums (aqua-natal group)
7. Cheaper days out so you have somewhere to go (e.g. community farm)
8. Taxi drivers more considerate when carrying passengers! (drive slower and more carefully)
