My step dad kicked me out of my house after an argument. I am sleeping at my friends but can't stay there for much longer. I am scared I am going to be homeless. What can I do?
You don't say how old you are but if you are over 16, you need to contact the Council's Housing
Department and obtain some housing advice on your housing options. These will include registering for housing with the Council, registering for housing with local Housing Associations and also other options surrounding renting private accommodation. The best point of contact is the Council's Homelessness Team or the Homefinder Team who can offer advice on all of these options. We also however link in with Social Services, 16+ Team and an element of this relates to mediation and trying to help young people to return home. Please see the back page for contact details.
