Glen Llwyd Scout Group
Background
The Scout Group has been operating from the current location next to Coed Eva & Hollybush Community Centre since August 1999. The new building was funded by Eastern Valley Housing to replace the existing scout hut which was on land they required for additional housing.
All leaders and assistants are volunteers who are CRB approved and trained by the Scout Association.
The Scout Association is committed to: taking into account in all its
considerations and activities the interests and well-being of young people; respecting the rights, wishes and feelings of the young people with whom it is working; taking all, practicable steps to protect them from physical, sexual and emotional abuse; and promoting the welfare of young people and their protection within a relationship of trust.
Who can be a Scout?
Scouting is open to all young people aged 6 to 25 of every faith and background. There are also plenty of opportunities for adults to become involved as Leaders, Assistants or Administrators.
