Cwmavon Lunch Club
The next lunch will be on Friday July 11th.
The price, this year has risen to £3.00 per meal and we will be eating at 12.30pm.
If you are coming by car, please remember that parking is limited, but there is room to park on Cwmavon Road, itself, near the telephone kiosk.
Please park safely and sensibly.
At the lunch club on June 13th, we were a crowd of 37, unfortunately we were only expecting about 26, so helpings were rather rationed. Most people would agree that the food was good and the company was excellent.
We enjoyed home-made pea soup, followed by toad in the hole with fresh vegetables and afterwards a selection of deserts to choose from.
We have devised a system of signing in for the lunch club from fortnight to fortnight or telephoning Carole in good time to secure a space. The lunch club on June 27th was a great success with 36 people joining us to eat a delicious watercress soup followed by a very meaty beef stew, carrots, peas and potatoes. A number of deserts from which to choose, to complete the meal.
The next lunch club on July 11th is already fully booked, so if you wish to secure a place for the 25th July,(especially if you are not going to the lunch on the 11th) please contact Carole Cunnell as soon as possible and she will put you on the list.
