Rectory Cottage, situated in four peaceful acres of garden and paddocks, has a beautiful view of the Vale of Usk looking toward the Wye Valley.
The superbly modernised converted cottage and barn, located between Abergavenny and Newport, offers country house accommodation. Both double and twin bedrooms are available with en suite facilities.
It is an excellent base for exploring south east Wales, as well as convenient for Cardiff, Bristol, Hereford and the Forest of Dean area of Gloucestershire. It is situated 10 miles north of the M4 motorway and 1 mile west of the A4042 between Abergavenny and Newport.
In addition to the Brecon Beacons National Park, there are numerous local attractions, including Blaenavon World Heritage Site, Big Pit Mining Museum, Raglan Castle and Chepstow Castle among others, Tintern Abbey, and the Roman amphitheatre and baths at Caerleon.
Not only is Rectory Cottage on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the picturesque Brecon Monmouthshire Canal also passes alongside the grounds.
It is ideal therefore for walking, cycling, canoeing and boating. Apart from walking in the National Park, the Cambrian Way, the Marches Way, the Wye Valley Walk and Offa's Dyke, and the Usk Valley walk all pass through the area.
There are a number of good golf courses in the area, including Celtic Manor and the Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club.
Llandegfedd Reservoir offers fishing and Cwmcarn is not far away for mountain biking.
The adventurous can even go paragliding and hot air ballooning!
