Blackthorne Lodge - self-catering, holiday-let cottage bungalow.
Set in just under 2 acres of grounds the two double-bedroomed property offers comfortable living accommodation including a spacious lounge with two and three seater settees, table and 4 chairs, large tv with Freeview tv channels|, a dvd player and a modern fitted kitchen which includes a washing machine, fridge-freezer, electric steamer, microwave, ceramic hob and oven.
The lounge also has a beautiful log burning stove where you can snuggle up in front of a real fire.
Sorry no pets allowed
The exterior consists of a patio area with table and chairs (with parasol), bench, sun lounger, flowerbeds and potted flowers and a very large grassed area for recreational purposes e.g. ball games etc. There is also a small fruit orchard which is home to a small flock of free-range chicken - eggs and freshly picked tomatoes available on arrival (subject to availability) at no extra cost.
The accommodation is suitable for couples, friends and families and is disability friendly. It has a wet room style shower and wheelchair accessible doors, electric sockets and light switches.
Electricity, wood for the wood burner, towels and bed linen are all included in the price.
The lodge can comfortably sleep 4 people - one double bed, two single beds and has a large double bed settee in the lounge (should 2 of the guests prefer not to share a bedroom).
A brick built BBQ with additional seating areas (wooden tables and benches on the grass) is available for guests' use. A large selection of children's outdoor play equipment is also available including tennis and badminton raquets, hoola hoop, football and goal posts, wooden cricket set, soft ball sets and even a slide and a swing set (subject to conditions).
