As a newcomer to IT myself, I have always been glad to find easily accessible information, so I thought I would write this page, which is meant as a guide for beginners in what is meant by computer hardware and software. It explains in easily understood terms what the main parts of hardware and software actually do.
What is hardware?
The term hardware refers to the physical components of your computer such as the motherboard, central processing unit, mouse, keyboard, monitor etc.
