Dear Members, Parents, Swimmers and Visitors, thank you for again showing an interest in our Open Meet to be held at the Newport International Sports Village.

 

Ages for this year's event are as follows and are taken as age on the last day of the meet.

 

Girls 9/10yrs, 11 yrs, 12/13yrs 14/15yrs, 16yrs & over

Boys 9yrs , 10yrs, 11/12yrs, 13/14yrs, 15yrs & over

 

Events are as follows:

Session 1 – Saturday 26th June 2010

Boys   100 Fly

Girls     50 Breastroke (HDW)

Boys    50 Breastroke (HDW)

Girls Finals 100 m fly

Boys    50 Freestyle (HDW)

THE CANNON a 250m Relay (10 swimmers – 1 from each age group, each swimming 25m)

 £100 Prize money plus a trophy for the winning team.

Please remember that there are medals for ALL individual finalists.

All teams in the cannon are competing for the Torfaen Sprint Meet Cannon Trophy and £100 in cash. There are NO place prizes in this event.

There are no runners up medals for places 4th to 8th in the "Dash For Cash"

There are trophies for the best boy & best girl in each age (Dash for cash does NOT count for these trophies)

There is also a trophy for the fastest male and female in the Pool 2010 (this will cover all age groups and be taken from the dash for cash event).
