Pontypool Dolphins are a Swimming Club based at the Pontypool Active Living Centre in Pontypool, Torfaen.

Each year Pontypool Dolphins develop youth and masters swimmers who are able to compete at national and international level, with the masters in particular, highly successful in some of the most prestigious events. Our philosophy is to develop excellent technique in our younger swimmers providing them with the quality of stroke that enables them to develop into highly competitive swimmers towards their middle teens and beyond.
The club provides a friendly and family type atmosphere where the interest is in providing the platform from which all swimmers, of all abilities, can flourish and reach their full potential. Whether your interest is in swimming competitively, improving or fitness, Pontypool Dolphins has something to offer you. We have a proud history dating back over 30 years, we have some members who have been with the club for a substantial part of that time and who still enjoy swimming and who still represent the club with pride.
In this coming year the Dolphins will again be competing in the National Speedo Swimming League, in the Second Division of the Western Division. In the 2006 competitive year the Dolphins exceeded their own expectations finishing a highly credible 7th of the 18 teams taking part. If you have an interest in competitive swimming and think you can contribute to the Dolphins’ rising success, we welcome new swimmers at the club
