Nantymoel away 16th September 2006

On Saturday we travel to Nantymoel looking to kick-start our season after two disappointing defeats.  Last season we did the double over Nantymoel winning by a narrow 18-17 away but more convincingly by 30 points to 15 at home in April.  Our side is strengthened by the return of influential captain Matthew Entwistle who scored 20 points in last season's home win over Nantymoel.  Also back in the squad is wing John Misljen who has recovered from a hamstring injury.  John was also in great form in that game against Nantymoel running in a tremendous 70 yard try and almost getting another one of a similar distance.

The squad is further strengthened by the return of tough tackling centre Scott Copsey and elusive wing Rhodri Davies.  There is good news that second row and pack leader Mark Smith's injury last week was not a serious as first  thought and he looks likely to start.

Croesy are going to need a top class performance from all these returning players to stop the rot and get onto the winning trail.  Nantymoel also lost their first league game ( 32-10 at Llantrisant)although did beat lower league opposition in the cup last week.

The Seconds travel to Abergavenny for their second away league fixture of the season and will be looking to have another win after beating West Mon Old Boys last time out.  But the Seconds are currently struggling for players so if you are available let one of the coaches or committee know|.

All players are to meet the club at 12 noon.
