1st Round Konica Minolta Cup

A combination of injuries and unavailabilities has meant it has not been possible to finalise the side for tomorrow's 1st Round cup tie away at Nelson.  From last Saturday's team, Captain Matthew Entwistle and wing Rhys Watkins are unavailable and hooker Anthony Axford, No. 8 Jake Nash, wing Jon Misljen and centre Scott Copsey are all injured. There is also uncertainty about the availability of Steven Thomas who is returning from holiday but is pencilled in at No.8.

 

In the pack Ryan Thomas moves from blind-side to loose-head prop after an impressive debut last week; Tom Price moves into the second row after being away on TA duty last week meaning Richard Gibbins moves back to blind-side; the only other change will see Steven Thomas slot in at No. 8 if he is home from holiday in time.

 

In the backs new signing Allyn Gore makes his senior debut at outside half after impressing for the seconds last week; last season's youth outside-half Gavin Holmes comes into the centre after also doing well in the seconds last week; and former youth player Ben Cunningham who has been at Swansea University for 3 years, comes in on the wing.  The other wing berth is still to be finalised.
