Rumney V Croesyceiliog
4 March 2006
Croesy return to league action after a 3-week break with a vital away game at fellow strugglers Rumney. Rumney are currently 3 points behind Croesy in the league with 2 games in hand so this is a classic 6-pointer. Once again injuries prevent Croesy from picking our strongest side but nevertheless there is sufficient strength in depth for the coaches to have picked a strong enough side to do the job in hand.
The pack has a familiar look to it with just 2 changes in the back row from the side beaten last time out by Llantrisant. Chris Williams returns on the blind-side after his skiing break and Jake Nash is rewarded for his perserverence with a start at no. 8.
In the backs Nathan Powell reverts to scrum-half after a try scoring cameo on the wing last time out. Influencial pairing outside half Chris Landry and inside centre and captain Matthew Entwistle both return after being unavailable last time but there are injuries to centre Scott Copsey and full-back Gareth Roberts which mean Stuart Fitzgerald retains the centre berth and David Davies continues at full-back.
On the bench new signing from Cwmbran hooker James Edwards will be hoping to make his first appearance.
