Croesyceiliog v Pill Harriers

16 September 2005

Injury and a desire to not get injured before getting married have forced 2 changes to the front row for Croesy's first home game of the season. Gareth Cowans comes in at loose head for Marc Watkins and former youth team captain Gavin Wheatstone, playing his first game in over a year, comes in at hooker for Anthony Axford. Richard Gibbins moves back to second row after starting at flanker last week and Bobby Pike, who dropped out with a neck injury after originally being selected last week, makes his belated league debut.

In the backs, Nathan Powell gets the nod at scrum-half after an impressive last quarter against Brynithel. There is a welcome return for Matthew Entwistle, who will take on the captaincy, at inside centre. And Matthew Hiatt makes his first appearance at the club since signing from New Panteg.

Last season's No.8 Steven Thomas, who is on a dual contract with Cross Keys, is available and starts on the bench.
