Brynmawr V Croesyceiliog
22 April 2006
Croesy go into this game knowing they cannot contemplate anything other than a win to keep themselves out of the relegation zone. Brynmawr are rooted firmly to the bottom of the league having lost every game this season and are already relegated. But their recent performances have been a great improvement and they seem determined not to go through the season without a win. So this is not going to be a pushover and Croesy are going to have to be on the top of their game to pick up the vital three points.
But despite being without several key players including centre and top points scorer Matthew Entwhistle, exciting wing Matthew Hiatt, giant second row Lee Williams and experienced prop Justin Smith, Croesy have got enough fire power to see off the basement side provided the attitude and belief is right.
Standing in for Smith at tight head is youth team prop Darryl Thomas, while Chris Williams moves from blindside to second row in place of namesake Lee. Jake Nash returns to the blindside.
Behind the scrum the only changes see David Davies move from full back to wing in place of Hiatt with the club hoping to obtain a permit from Tredegar for Darryl Carter to play at full back.
