Bargoed V Croesyceiliog

Bargoed v Croesyceiliog

22 October 2005

Injuries and unavailability meant team selection was delayed until Saturday lunch time. With Anthony Axford unavailable Gareth Cowans slotted back into the hooker berth. An injury to Lee Williams meant Larry Williams had to move up from blind side flanker to second row despite carrying an injury himself and Matthew Entwistle moved from outside half to blind side (you don't hear that happening very often). Disappointingly Steven Thomas failed to turn up after declaring himself available so Jake Nash had to play at number 8 also carrying an injury.

In the backs Nathan Powell was on holiday and Ritchie Williams continued at scrum-half. After moving there during last week's game Chris Landry continued at outside-half. David (Divvy) Davies moved from full-back to centre to partner Scott Copsey and Will Hamilton came in for his second start on the left wing. Richard (Shakey) Lewis started at full back after returning from injury.

Team Manager John Berrow came out of retirement to take a place on the bench.
