Pontllanfraith home 13th Oct 07

Croesyceiliog 48 Pontllanfraith 0

Croesy gained a bonus point victory with an ultimately convincing win over Pontllanfraith. The first half was on the whole a forgettable affair as the game was punctuated with errors and some odd refereeing decisions. One of these decisions resulted in the sending off of Croesy centre Rob Baldock following a fight with his opposite number from Pontllanfraith, following two tackles in succession off the ball on Baldock. The highlight of the half was a late try for Matthew Entwistle to give Croesy a 10-0 half-time lead.

The second half was a much more entertaining affair with 6 further tries being scored by Paul Hicks, Shane Williams, Jake Nash, Gavin Howells and 2 more from Matthew Entwistle who finished the match with 28 points. The lowlight was a second sending-off, of Croesy replacement prop Ian Martin for stamping.

The win helped maintain Croesy's good start to the season.
