Match Report Ynysybwl 23rd Sept 2006

Croesyceiliog 25 Ynysybwl 54

No full report this week my apologies as I was not at the game.  There were changes to the team before kick off.  Allyn Gore was unfit which meant that Matthew Entwistle moved to outside half, David Davies to centre, Rhodri Davies to full back and John Misljen came in on the wing.  It was decided not to start with Paul Hicks as he had been out since March with a broken leg.  So Jake Nash switched to No. 8 and Ryan Thomas came in on the blind side.

Although we lost this game by 50 points we showed far more spirit than in our previous games and did run in 4 tries of our own.  When Paul Hicks did eventually make it onto the field he showed what an asset he is to the club and what a difference he will make when he gets back to full match fitness.

The team was:

Justin Smith; Jamie Edwards; Gareth Cowens; Richard Gibbins; Jim Sargeant; Ryan Thomas; Lewis Heward; Jake Nash; Ritchie Williams; Matthew Entwistle; John Misljen; Stuart Fitzgerald; David Davies; Will Hamilton; Rhodri Davies.

Subs: Carl Taylor; Tom Price; Paul Hicks; Chris Wright.

Scorers: Tries: Stuart Fitzgerald; Ritchie Williams; Jamie Edwards; Ryan Thomas. Cons: Matthew Entwistle.  Pens: Matthew Entwistle
