Croesy mourns deaths

It is with deepest sadness that the club reports on the deaths of two great stalwarts of Croesyceiliog RFC, Graham (Ianto) Evans and Dai Rees.

Ianto was to many people Mr Croesyceiliog. He was a trustee of the club and served for many years on the rugby and management committees. He was a true gentleman, a man of great integrity who never sought the limelight but was always willing to do any job for the good of the club, no matter how mundane.

Dai was one of those characters that every rugby club needs. A former prop forward who went on to be Chairman of the club. He will be remembered by many members for his tinkling of the ivories in years gone by and his infamous rendition of "The Flee".

Our thoughts go out to the families of both fine men.
