6 Nations Competition Result 20 March 2006

The winner of this year's competition to predict the most correct results of all the 6 Nations games was Liam Crowley.  The winning sheet was sold by Club Chairman Colin Wilmott.  Liam, who picks up a prize of £50, was one of 5 people who correctly predicted 12 of the 15 results correctly.  The other were:

Anthony Axford; Alan Hiatt; Brian (sold by Richie Williams); and Richard Davies.

In the tie break question - how many points will Wales score during the competition? - Liam was just 4 out with a prediction of 76 (Wales scored 80 points) and Anthony Axford was just 1 point behind with a prediction of 85 points (5 out). Alan was 35 out on 115; Richard 48 out 0n 128 and Brian 50 out on 130.

The 3 Liam got wrong were Scotland's home wins over France and England and the Wales v Italy draw which incidentally was the only result in the competition that no-one predicted.

Thanks to everyone who took part - approximately £300 was raised for club funds.
