Follow 4042 to the MacDonald's Roundabout

Next follow signs for Pontypool / Big Pit Mining Museum 4043

At next roundabout take the 2nd exit

Next roundabout at Tesco take the 2nd exit

Next roundabout 2nd exit

Straight on at traffic lights

Next roundabout take the 1st exit

These roundabouts are close together, in all from the MacDonald's Roundabout to this point is only about 1.6 miles

Now follow signs to Blaenavon 4043and proceed for a further 1.3 miles to Abersychan

Turn left at the first junction ( keep left sign)

Signpost here reads Talywain / Garndiffaith / Varteg B4246

Stay on this road for approx 1.9 miles, on the hill you take the first turn right.

Drive to the end of the row of houses on your left hand side ( Cooperative Terrace) you will see a one way sign (Blue with White arrows), take this road for a short distance ( the main road bears slightly to the right) take first left then first right go across the road between the rows of houses until you get to the end of this road, sharp turn left between a row of garages and a row of houses, go up the ramp at the end of the garages into the Bowls Club car park.

From Abergavenny

Take the 4042 to MacDonald's Roundabout at Pontypool and proceed as above.

From Brynmawr

Drive to Blaenavon then follow signs for Varteg B4246

From Blaenavon drive for 2.8 miles and where you see the keep left sign turn left

Then follow instructions above in bold type
