Garndiffaith Bowls Club

About Us

We are a small but friendly Bowls Club that was formed in 1926 and is situated in the old mining village of Garndiffaith at the Welfare Ground which is just north of Pontypool Torfaen, South Wales UK.

Our membership consists of a Ladies Section, Mens Section, and a Youth Section.

The Green is in the Welfare Ground which is behind Hillcrest and opposite Severn View.Post Code NP4 7BD See the Location page for directions.

The car park is opposite Severn View next to a row of garages up the ramp.

We have bowls facilities that are for all groups to participate in especially youth and disabled people.

Throughout the summer we play outdoors, and in the winter we play indoors on two new short mat rinks.

All fees for the season to be paid to the Treasurer at the AGM.

A season ticket has to be obtained from The Secretary.

Suffrage -Textiles Exhibition

Textiles celebrating 100 years of women's suffrage. An exhibition focusing on textile art and political expression to mark the Centenary of Women's Suffrage. In the early 20th Century women used skills learned at home to give voice to their political struggle; in aprons, ribbons and banners they visually propelled their call for universal suffrage to a wider audience.
