Cwmbran Park Bowling Club Welsh Bowling Association (Carruthers Shield) Champions 1979

Cwmbran Park Bowling Club functions on a very small membership and are always on the lookout for anyone who wishes to take up the game those who are already fully fledged bowlers or those who wish to learn.

We are fortunate to have a group of excellent top class coaches who are only too happy to coach young and old alike.

If you are interested you can contact us through this web site or call into the bowling green at Cocker Avenue Leisure Park and speak to any member of the club who will be only too willing to help you.

Club nights are held every Monday start 6.00pm.

Yama - The mining art of Sakubei Yamamoto

Description:
At the age of seven years old, Sakubei Yamamoto (1892-1984) moved with his family to the coal mines of the Chikuho region in Kyushu. He was apprenticed to a colliery blacksmith at the age of twelve, and later worked as a mine blacksmith and coalminer until the age of 63 in 1955.
