Paignton 10 - 12 September 2010

The club members, wives and friends followed up previous succesful tours when the club visited Paignton Devon.

Our Headquarters for the tour was the excellent Queens Hotel.

Our fiirst match was on Friday where we were hosted by Paignton Torbay Bowls Club.

Cwmbran won the match in excellent conditions by 15 shots (124 - 109) This excellent start to the tour set the tone for the weekend.

Our grateful thanks to Captain Brian and the club members for their hospitality.

On Saturday we experienced the hospitality of Brixham St Marys Bowls Club where we gained our second win in a hard fought game by a narrow 8 shot margin (114 - 106)

Our sincers thanks to Captain Alan Hewitt and his fellow club members for an excellent afternoon of bowls played in glorious weather.

On Sunday the tour was wound up when we visited Marldon Maple Leaf Bowls Club and completed an unbeaten weekend with a win by 32 shots (128 - 96)

Our thanks to Captain Peter Collings and his club for a memorable afternoon.

The hospitality and after match activities in the club house created many good memories and friends.

As a club we operate on a small membership and would like to extend our thanks to our friends supporters and bowlers of other clubs for making the tour possible.

We all now look forward to our tour to the Isle of Wight in 2011.
