International Honours
On an individual basis over the last 40 years the club can boast a pedigree of World and Welsh International players.
World Bowls Series
The following members were selected to represent Wales:
1966 - E A John Wales in Sydney Australia.
Incidentally Aeron is the son of a famous father the late Wilfred John of Rhymney who was a regular international player and captain representing Wales for 14 years between 1946 and 1963.
1980 - R B Thomas Wales in Melbourne Australia.
Commonwealth Games
1970 - A further honour was gaind by four of our members when they represented Wales in Edinburgh in the fours competition and finished a creditable fifth position just out of the medals.
The four were E A (Aeron) John, C H (Harry) Thompson, the late A R (Roy) Jones and the late W E (Bill) Pattimore who was the oldest competitor in the games at 79 years young and was presented to Prince Philip for that distinction.
Their performance truly put the club on the Bowls map.
2006 - Kevin Wall was selected as part of a six man team to represent Wales in Melbourne, Australia
World Test Series
2002 - Kevin Wall one of our youngest members was selected to represent Wales in this prestigious series played throughout various venues in England against invitation teams from all over the world to celebrate the English Bowling Association centennial year.
Wales versus South Africa
2002 - Kevin Wall was selected to represent Wales in Capetown where the series was drawn.
