Box-Fit-Banner-2014

The fitness class that packs a punch!!

A fast, fun and explosive workout for all levels of fitness

Every Thursday  6-7pm

Classes are just £2.50 each!! Delivered by fully qualified fitness instructors and an ex-professional boxer. At our own club which is situated just off Wayfield Crescent Northville (next to Maendy Primary School).

Presentation Night - 22nd August 2014

Cwmbran Boxing Club will be hosting a presentation night on 22 August 2014 to present the club boxers with news for the upcoming season and awards for what they have achieved throughout the boxing year. It will take place at Croesyceiliog Cricket Club in Cwmbran from 7pm onwards.

12 boys and 1 girl from King Henry 8th School came to the gym and enjoyed two hours of box training.

Today we had King Henry School down for a morning coaching.

2013 Round-up

In 2013 club boxer Joe Hall won the Senior Welsh Bantom Weight title beating a boxer from North Wales so well done Joe. Also three boxers from the club won novices titles, L Rowlands, Simone Connor and Conner McNarmara. Well done to them.

The club had three Novice Welsh Champions:

  • Simey Conner won the 39kg title
  • Luke Rowlands won the 34kg title
  • Conner McNamara won the 36kg title

The club had three Open Class Welsh Champions:

  • Joe Hall won the open class welsh title 56kg
  • Sam Janes won welsh open junior title at 75kg
  • Simey Conner also won the open title to go with his novice title but at 40kg

So this season the club have six welsh champions so well done the coaches and boxers.

2012/2013 Season

The club is now up and running for the 2012/2013 season.

We are looking to get more senior boxers at the club so if anyone aged 18 to 30 would like to try and make it as a boxer, come along to the club on any Monday, Wednesday or Friday at 6.30pm and have a go.
