Llaynrafon Mill
CLIENTS INVESTIGATION REPORT
LOCATION OF INVESTIGATION: Llanyrafon mill. Llanyrafon
INVESTIGATORS: Dave Murgatroyd, Julie Mugatroyd, Gareth Mates & Maryse Mates.
TIME OF INVESTIGATION: 8pm start. 1am finish.
AVERAGE TEMPRETURE: 17 degrees Celsius outside and 18 degrees celsius inside.
EQUIPMENT USED :
2 x gaussmaster EMF meter: EMF stands for Electro Motive fluctuation and this measures the magnetic and electricity in the air or absorbed by a person.. An EMF meter is said to either detect spirits or to just measure the magnetic and electric that some research has suggested that high levels of either induces hallucinations headaches and nausea.. All things give off EMF’s such as TV’s, computers and electrical plugs.
1 x Natural EM meter: This meter is just like the above meter but is more advanced and cancels out any man made EMF’s. This meter only records natural EMF’s; this meter also has settings for measuring the electric in the air and radio waves. This meter is highly sensitive. The meter detects a change in any field from as little as 0.5%.
1 x 2G EMF Meter: This meter is the same as the Gaussmaster but cancels out the background radiation.
4 x Night vision CCTV cameras: This is to record any activity.
3 x TV monitors.
1 x Laser thermometer: This thermometer measures the temperature at the tip of the lasers point.
1 x weather station with sensor: This appliance records temperature from two different locations, measures the humidity and baromic pressure.
,
1 x in out thermometer: This measures the temperature outside and in.
3 x digital cameras,
2 x digital dictation machine: This records audio in the location.
5 x torches.
A trigger object test is where a few simple shaped objects are set up on a piece of paper and then drawn around and left. There is a theory that if there is poltergeist activity then the objects may be moved.
EVP stands for electronic voice phenomena and this is where questions are asked openly to an location and recorded on a tape player or digital dictation machine and then played back to see if there is any unexplained noises or voices on the recording.
Method
A pre—investigation analysis was not given.
This was the first time that the investigators attended the location.
As this was the first time attending the location the full amount of equipment was taken.
At 8pm the team started to set up our audio & visual equipment around the mill after receiving a tour of the location. There were four cameras set up in total. The team commenced the investigation at 9pm after a few baseline readings were taken.
The investigators set up the control location at the far right corner of the mill by the power points. The control location consisted of 2 x TV video combos, 1 x video player, 1 x portable TV and 1 x weather station.
The natural EM meter was located on a wall on the far left of the mill next to some grain pots.
A trigger object test was located on a table in the far left hand corner of the building.
Throughout the investigation the investigators recorded EMF’s and temperature readings but none were abnormal, photographs were taken but also no abnormal images were recorded. One of the investigators carried out an EVP experiment but nothing abnormal was recorded.
The investigation ended at 1 AM when no abnormal readings occurred, the investigators concluded that it would benefit the investigators and equipment if the investigation was cut short.
Conclusion
After reviewing the evidence collected and assessing the location and environmental conditions on the night of the investigation R.I.P. South Wales have concluded that the mill does not have a residual haunting. A residual haunting is where a ghost is said to haunt a location. We suggest that the balls of light that were caught on camera are nothing but dust and bugs.
Due to the fact that there is still water next to the mill this is a perfect environment for some types of bugs. Noises were heard throughout the night but this can be put down to the wood of the building expanding with the temperature change.
