During 2007 Our Morris Minor Reg 610 UXW had it's last Classic Car show that was held at Pencoed Show fields Nr. Bridgend on the 6th May along with two other Club Members. It was to be its last show as I was to take ownership of a 1968 ex- Cardiff Police Force Car more fondly known as The Panda".
MKG 324 F or "Sergeant Morris" known to our family was to be used throughout the coming Classic Car Season.
Between May and Sept. 2007 I attended 23 Classic Car shows and Police Open Days throughout South Wales and the West Country. We covered 7000 miles and made many friends along the way.
While researching the history of my Morris, It appears to be the last surviving Morris Minor that was used by the Cardiff and Sth.Wales Police Force although I still can not confirm this.
Some of the events that I attended were Festival of Transport held at Barry Island, Swansea and Blaenavon and Police Open Days at Cwmbran, Bristol and Wiltshire.
To end the year, I attended the Pembrokeshire County Run. This was a eighty five mile run around the Pembrokeshire Coast leaving Milford Haven stopping at St. David's and Fishguard before ending at North Beach Tenby.
In Sept. 2008 My Morris will be leading the "Parade" of over 500 Classic Cars on The Pembrokeshire Run.to celebrate the Morris Minors 60 Anniversary. Please click on 2008 Events link on the left to see events Planned for 2008.
