Morris Minor Club

Abergavenny

Abergavenny 25th. - 26th. May

Morris Minor line - up

Although this was a two day event I was only to attend on the Sunday 25th.

The weather for this Whitsun Bank Holiday was rain, rain with more rain  throughout the day.

We arrived at the show ground at approx 9.30am and was shown to the Morris Minors line where we were given a 60th. Anniversary banner to attach to our Morris's. There was just 4 Morris Minors who braved the wet weather.

Steam Engines and Steam Rollers also fired - up and made a good display under the trees like this 1913 Road Roller. 1913 Steam Roller

While another was put into use and entertained us with a stage show fully lit with over 100 lightbulbs all powered by steam.

A 1930's Fairground Steam Engine.       A 1930's Fairground Traction Engine.

All lit up. This early 1930’s Traction engine stands under the rain soaked trees while the engine is fired-up. These engines would have been used as fairground rides to power the rides such as galloping horses.

The Morris Minor Club has been created for those of us who would like to show our appreciation of the car and its design.
