Stephanie is queen for a year


17-year-old gets the honour

 

Here is Cwmbran's carnival queen for this year's parade - 17-year-old Stephanie April Harrhy, from Fairwater.

 

Her court is: Chelsie Moore, 15, from St Dials; Hannah Louise Love, 10, from Hollybush; Francesca Griffiths-Breeze, seven from Thornhill; and five-year-old Connor Hardwick, from Greenmeadow.

 

The queen and her court were picked from hundreds of hopefuls by judges at Cwmbran stadium. They will be leading the carnival procession in June 16.
