Webster's 3rd birthday is celebrated by a new external kiosk in Cwmbran Shopping Centre.
In March 2007 Webster.uk.net, Torfaen’s online community portal, celebrates its third anniversary. Over the last 3 years the portal has gone from strength to strength and there are now 425 organisations in Torfaen including businesses, community groups, clubs, public sector providers and voluntary organisations, which have developed a strong and vibrant website on the portal.
This anniversary also sees the install of an external touch screen kiosk in Cwmbran Shopping centre which allows 24 hour access to Webster.uk.net and council services. The kiosk is located by the bus station, opposite where the potato man is sited. Councillor Wellington was pleased to launch the kiosk.
There are also 29 internal Webster.uk.net touch screen kiosks in various locations throughout Torfaen including schools, leisure centres, pubs and Greenmeadow Community Farm. They are all free and easy to use.
