A Torfaen school is embracing Fair Trade by starting up their own stall.
Pupils at St David's Primary school, Pontnewydd, Pontypool, are strengthening their own communities and learning about others across the world by running their own Fair Trade stall.
They have joined forces with the local church, St David's, to sell Fair Trade tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and chocolate to parents and members of the community.
The scheme was started at an assembly on Friday, and the children will now run the stall each week.
Teacher Alison Baillon-Jones said: "The children learnt about how Fair Trade products can affect growers' lives, what Fair Trade is and why it's important.
"It makes them understand what choices we have and why it's important to buy these products, and what a difference it makes.
It also helps them to learn about communities across the world.
The year four class learn about a village in India and this supplements their leanring."
Head teacher Anna Davies added: "It helps us to educate the children about sustainable development."
