THIS glamorous mum could soon be plastered across billboards as the face of a new hair product
Joanne Reed, 31, from Pontypool, is representing Wales in the finals of a competition run by Morphy Richards and Reveal Magazine to find a face to promote the Headgear Retro Range.
The new range, including a hairdryer, straighteners and tongs, is designed to make women look as glamorous as the stars by creating celebrity hairstyles.
Mrs Reed has already won a makeover and a photoshoot at a London studio by hair and make-up experts from Reveal magazine.
Her pictures will appear in the December 12 issue of Reveal and she will find out on December 21 if she will promote the range. She said: "It would be a fabulous Christmas present."
Mrs Reed, who lives in Wainfelin with husband Jason and their 15-month-old daughter Shauna, was nominated by her sister Victoria Thorpe.
If Mrs Reed wins she will jet off to Hollywood for a luxury holiday and star on a billboard campaign.
She is no stranger to show business, having appeared as an extra in Australian TV series Water Rats and New Zealand soap Shortland Street while living down under in 2001 and 2002.
Mrs Reed, who until recently worked for Careers Wales, said: "I loved being pampered and made to look and feel glamorous.
"I usually have very little time to myself as I've combined being a mum with a part-time job."
