Summer Dragon Boat Racing Spectacular

The crew, called "Webster the Dragonslayer" and sporting fabulous Viking helmets were as follows:

• Jon West (The Wild West)
• Theresa Hart (Hart the Heartless)
• Hannah Bunn (Hannah the Hammer)
• Anthony Bunn (Tony the Tyrant)

and a special mention to Dave Gardner, Gethyn Ellis and Chris Jones who, although they only came along to spectate, ended up paddling with the rest of us!

 

A great day was had by everyone and we managed not to capsize the boats which was a bonus!

 

We came second in our first 2 races, and there was a photo finish in our 3rd race when we were just pipped at the post into second place again... :-(

 

Sadly we weren't fast enough to take part in the last race to determine the overall winner, so unfortunately no medals were won. Better luck next year, eh?
