Welcome to the Wisdom Bank

Wisdom Bank LogoThe Wisdom Bank is a dynamic new web app, where local people can share, create and access helpful information on a variety of topics.

Members can use our forums to ask for or give advice, or speak to people ‘one to one’ using our instant message or email system.

The Wisdom Bank will empower local people to share their Wisdom and learn from others in the community.

We are currently gathering and creating information on the following themes:

  • Carers and Care Leavers
  • Business Development and Social enterprise
  • Employment
  • Self Management of Diabetes
  • Collaboration in the Community
  • Support for Ex-Service Personnel

The Wisdom Bank will also host short films made by users who want to share their knowledge with others. Out team will support people to create animations and digital stories which share and promote local advice. Training will be given and we will help everyone to learn!

The Wisdom Bank is also looking for people who would like to use the website to give or receive advice. We want users to tell us the important themes and topics, and ensure we develop something that the people of Torfaen will love.

If you would like to get involved in the Wisdom Bank, or just like to learn more, get in touch!

The project is open to everyone in Torfaen with some Wisdom to share, although you do need to be at least 13 years of age to take part.
