SMUG

You know and we know that changing your drug or alcohol use is not as easy as it sounds. As well as your use there will be other areas in your life you may have to change. Often it's the thought of changing that is more scary than doing it as old habits die hard.

Achieving change is much more likely if you are armed with knowledge and have done some preparation. This is where SMUG can help. According to Chris Campbell "Smug signposts users, groups, family members and members of the community to the appropriate agencies which are tailor made to the individual's needs regardless of whether it is alcohol or drug related".

Members of SMUG have also been working very closely with Drugaid to help create a self - help manual for drug and alcohol users who want to make changes.
