Rules
1. The society shall be named “WAWWA The Musical Theatre Company”.
2. The society hereafter referred to as “The Company” will have a management committee consisting of a Chairman, Secretary, Publicity Officer, Fund Raising Officer, Treasurer and five committee members. The offices are to include the Directors.
3. Each office, excepting that of the Directors, shall be for a term of one year and shall be subject to re-election at the Annual General Meeting unless it is found necessary to call an Extraordinary General Meeting.
4. Nominations for officers must be handed in one week prior to the AGM
5. The committee will meet the first Monday of every month, but can be altered to suit.
6. A quorum will be deemed to be five committee members, any meeting held or decision taken with less than a quorum present will be deemed void. Further to this, should a member need to call a meeting, they may do so by submitting a request with five signatures.
7. The company shall be non-profit making, except in running costs and where possible will give donations to the named charities.
8. Each member shall purchase from the company the official T-Shirt, which is to be worn at all concerts. Anyone attending a concert without a T-Shirt will be unable to take part ( This rule may be changed by the committee at any committee meeting).
9. "All members shall pay an annual sum of £15 joining fee and also £3.00 per week subscription
whether they attend rehearsal or not. This also applies to the occasions where men only or women only rehearsals are called or even if rehearsals are cancelled.
10. Members who for whatever reason stop paying their subscriptions will not be allowed to take part in a show or hold office of any sort.

"At the discretion of the committee, any member missing three rehearsals between signing up for a show and the show itself, without prior notification and good cause, will be asked to leave the group with no reimbursement of any monies paid the company. Please note that this is now going to include non-attendance at group functions like leaflet drops and concerts, especially if a prior indication of attendance has been given. This rule will also apply to members who are constantly late or irregular in their attendance."
12. All members, where possible, will assist with fundraising events.
13. All mobile phones must be switched off during rehearsal.
14. No member of the company shall receive payment, except in reimbursement of small expenses incurred e.g. posters etc. and no reimbursement will be made unless a receipt is produced.
15. Every member shall be supplied with a copy of the Constitution and the Rules and will be expected to abide by it.
16. Any prospective member who cannot accept the constitution or the rules will not be offered membership.
17. A bank account will be opened in the name of We Are What We Are Musical Theatre Company. Two members of the committee will be required to sign cheques one of whom must be the treasurer. A treasurers report will be submitted every meeting.
18. Every member issued with a script or score will be responsible for returning same to the secretary and will be responsible for its monetary value if the script or score becomes lost.
These rules were agreed and passed at a meeting of the management committee.
