 Here's a little poem i did for a special daughter for her dads birthday

 

Poppy the Postman

Well Its poppy the postman's birthday today.

He's five years from His pension, he's sixty today.

We are giving him this party to show that we care.

Would have bought him a rocker but we didn't dare.

 

He's fit has a fiddle and still thinks he's forty.

Dresses real good and his car is quite sporty.

He's still got all his hair, although It's looking quite grey.

But he'd tell you its highlights, if he had his way.

 

He loves his old beard it's been with him so long.

He'd look younger without it, but he'd say your wrong.

It's like kissing a toothbrush or so I been told.

Well maybe I'll try one before I get old.

 

Well poppy we all hope you enjoy your birthday.

We all put this bash together, but you'll have to pay.

The bills in the post you can deliver it tomorrow.

I can lend you a fiver if you need to borrow.
