Land of My Fathers

The Swans Of Old Cwmbran

This wonderful poem by Andrew sums it all up for me

Swansong by Andrew Tovey

Image of white swan with cygnets

I envy your beauty, so pure, so white,
I envy your freedom to swim or take flight,
I envy your grace as you glide through the sky,
I could never compete, so you have to die,
I long for attention what else can I do,
I'll never be noticed when stood next to you,
With your beauty forgotten, maybe no one will see,
That there's nothing but evil to be found in me.

Image of a dead Swan being held by a man

One day soon i hope to have some news and a photograph of the mindless thugs who were responsible for the death of the Cwmbran Swans. If you have any information on this please get in touch with your local police station or email me and I will do it for you.
