Tears Falling For Twelve Dear Men

This morning my heart is heavy
Thirteen miners burried deep
One came out alive
For the others I now weep

They did not go easy
Perhaps they needed that time
To get right with their God
So they could join the line

That sacred line
Leading to the promised Land
I know Jesus was waiting there
To lead them to his fathers right hand

Yes I'm sure they are in Heaven
Held close in the Father's right arm
No more pain or sorrow
No more harm

But still I hurt down deep inside
For the hearts filled with sorrow
The ones left behind
Who can't imagine the empty tomorrow

May God bless them all
And hold them in his arms so tight
They can make it through the day
But they'll need help to make through the night

+ + +
Dedicated to the Thirteen miners
Trapped in that mine so deep
And to their families
Left to weep
+ + +
May God comfort you all
