PoemsOfTheMonth

My Garden

Although small in size

it's my hideaway

from the world

and hot sunny days.

The scent of herbs

a trailing vine

nothing big...

but it's mine.

Cute little faces of the pansy sweet

my orange tree

almost eight feet.

Rosemary, thyme and mint

time here is so well spent.

Honeysuckle growing in a pot

drooping a little

when the sun gets hot.

Morning-glories blue as the sky

bring back memories

of days gone by.

My old black cat really loves my flowers

lies under their shade

through the hottest hours.

Dirt on my hands

love in my heart

for this little garden

of which God is a part.
