Bathing The Dog

Oh the joy and the fun Image of wet dog with large brown eyes and a body covered in shampoo sitting in a white bath
Of bathing the dog
Be he large or small
Or round as a log.

It is quite a challenge
To get him in the tub
Then it’s a fight
To the death
To give him a scrub.

With more soap on you
Than you got on the dog
And a bathroom floor
That looks like a bog.

Now the fun starts
You got to give him a wipe.
Get the towel wrapped round him
With a very fast swipe

If you’re not very fast
You can take it from me
You’ll be cleaning that bathroom
Till well past your tea.
