Nagasaki

Someone told me once that after the nucleur bomb was dropped it released seeds of extinct flowers ? I dont know if its true but it prompted me to write the poem below. Thanks for your time in reading this !!

Image of the effects of a nuclear bomb just after detonation

My god what I created openhimer cried
For he knew then that one day millions would die
Out of the hands of scientists
The beast grew in size
And when man could no longer hid his curiosity
He dropped the bomb on Nagasaki

And after the initial shock
Man stood back to take a look
People burnt beyond recognisation
Children born with the effects of radiation

But out of the dark came a seed trapped in time
A white flower buds at the scene of this crime
Locked away in a time we forgot
A sign of a bomb that dropped

Its shouts pain no more
No more war or selfish gain
We are after all
Just the same.
