Colours Of The Rainbow

Image of winter trees with leaves on the ground

Red'
The colour that said
Look at me
Can't you see
How bright
Is the light
A delight
Day or night
So alive
I will survive

'Orange'
The colour of heat
Where red and yellow meet
Joined so neat
Brightness prevails
Could tell such tales
Of fiery red
In bed
With yellow I said
Should they wed?

'Yellow'
How mellow
So deep
Warmth will seep
Through summer sleep

Just peep
Under your hat
As you lie flat
You lazy fellow
that's yellow

'Green'
The queen
Emerald it's been
A carpet below
For someone to sow
Seeds to grow
And you to know
This colour will give
Sustenance to live
Green be with

'Blue'
So true
To you
Of a summer day
No cares in the way
Heaven on earth
Know the worth
Of this primary hue
Which to you
Is just blue

'Indigo'
Of the night sky
Stars float by
Like diamond dust
To see is a must
An evening gown
Shimmering down
Touching the ground
Like a gentle kiss
Indigo is this

'Purple'
Sombre but royal
The colour to spoil
The mood of the mind
Mystic not blind
Do not despair
I'm not really there
Mixed from others you see
that's me
No purity

The colours above
Are joined with love
An arc in the sky
As rain passes by
And the sun say's hello
To this beautiful rainbow
A welcoming sight
A distortion of light
A phenomena for you
What colour can do
