The colour that said
Look at me
Can't you see
How bright
Is the light
A delight
Day or night
So alive

'Orange'
The colour of heat
Where red and yellow meet
Joined so neat
Brightness prevails
Could tell such tales
Of fiery red
In bed
With yellow I said
Should they wed?
'Yellow'
How mellow
So deep
Warmth will seep
Through summer sleep
Just peep
Under your hat
As you lie flat
You lazy fellow

The queen
Emerald it's been
A carpet below
For someone to sow
Seeds to grow

Sustenance to live

Heaven on earth

Of the night sky
Stars float by

Sombre but royal
