Symonds Yat
Consists of Symonds Yat East and Symonds Yat West, either side of the river Wye.
My favourite side has the pubs and hotel. Pleasant place to spend a couple of hours watching the river with a pint. Reasonable choice of food, the Royal Hotel does an Austalian theme barby on Sundays. On offer is crocodile, ostrich, kangaroo and roast veg. Its quite nice to eat in the garden.

Just an update on the Royal Hotel, it has been taken over by new people. So the Aussi barby theme is no more. There are renovations in progress so it will be a little while before things get back to normal. A pint of export cost £2.80 now ! I must admit I liked the place as it was, if its not broken don't try to fix it springs to mind. Time will tell if the old charm of the place will be lost or not.
