Portmeirion
This is the location where the cult classic "The Prisoner " was filmed.
The stretch of coastline here is outstanding. This is accessed by walking down through the magnificent gardens and past the unusual architecture that made up the Prisoner film set.
It is quite easy to spend many hours just soaking up the ambiance and enjoying the superb Views that this unique place has to offer.
A day visit cost £6.00, or you can do a combination of self catering or half board in a very stylish manner. The main hotel is beautifully decorated, and it is hard to see how it could be improved, it is absolutely stunning.
Even if you had not heard of the TV series linked with the place you can not fail to be enchanted by this spectacular piece of North Wales.
In short, this is a must see location.
