Torfaen Harley Davidson
A Harley Davidson motorcycle is more than just about getting from A to B. the machine is more than the sum of its parts. The sound of the big V twin is like no other and evokes a sense of excitement and wonder.
Ownership is not enough, without sharing the joy of the open road with likeminded people the experience would not be complete. Imagine the scene, a fine day, and a group of riders with partners rendezvous at a predetermined point and time. Ready for the off to who knows where. We wait the extra ten minutes for the possible latecomer; a chance to catch up on what’s been going on since the last time we met. We might check out recent additions to someone’s bike, or pass on some tips and advice. Such a group is treasure chest of knowledge and information.
You have probably heard it said that no two Harleys are alike. Many owners customise their bikes to a greater or lesser degree. Some choose practical additions such as heated handle bar grips racks or saddlebags for trips and camping. Other may go for a clean stripped down look where just the essential remains. Less is more.
There is a vast after market for Harleys where the creative owner can indulge his or her taste where the depth of your pocket is the limiting factor. This journey of ownership may be short or life long and can be extremely rewarding and frustrating at times but it is always interesting.
It would appear that people from all walks of life ride and own Harleys as is the case in the club I belong to. I feel privileged to be a part of such a group with all that it has to offer. Membership of such a group is recommended as it opens up a whole new experience. All for now, more to follow.
